Congratulates, Articulate!
Articulate develops e-learning software, content, and resources that change the way the world learns. More than 120,000 organizations worldwide, including all 100 of the Fortune 100, have created millions of courses using the company’s online training platform, Articulate 360.
DevLearn is the largest E-learning conference in North America and Articulate has been one of the largest exhibitors for many years. Presented with an opportunity to significantly upgrade their presence at the event from 1,000 sq. ft. exhibit to a 6,000 sq. ft. environment, the company elected to change their approach from a trade show strategy with traditional demo stations run by company representatives to a truly branded “Experience Room” environment that provided opportunities for attendees to “test drive” the software platform, question and interview managers responsible for the performance and enhancements of future product releases, provide product reviews with a third party, TrustRadius, gain new knowledge from speakers in a theatre environment and, finally, snag some swag.
Exhibitus’ design team used the theme of “Articuland.” Click here to visit Articuland.
With input and collaboration of Articulate’s event team, they created an immersive, highly-engaging branded environment that included:
- Reception Desks
- Private Theater
- Demo Stations
- Support Desk
- Community (come learn about ELH!)
- Training
- Ask The Experts or Ask Me Anything (Product Managers and Experts)
- Lounge (come hang out, charge your phone, take a rest – combo of comfy furniture and high boys + stools)
- Sales/Pricing Desk
- Swag + Passport Station
- “Play Pen” – come and play around on desktop computers. Self-Serve Kiosks as well.
- Content “Library” –
- Area for meetings
- Bone Yard (for all storage and a place for staff to get away)

In the end, over 70 people from Exhibitus “touched” the project’s execution in some capacity.
Promoting the environment as a separate experience from the rest of the exhibition peaked attendees curiosity and gathered the attention that the company had wanted. The show organizers included the location in pre-conference marketing materials and
ensured that directions to the Experience Room were visible in the exhibit hall. The company reported that they had lines “out the door” waiting to get into Articuland to see what the excitement was about. Each area, from stations where attendees could individually interact with the software platform, to interviews with product managers, to educational sessions in the theatre were packed with interested customers and prospects.
