Creative Director Honored as a Young Professional Making a Difference in Exhibit Industry
Exhibitus is excited to announce that Creative Director Matt Beck has been named to the 2020 Class of EDPA Future Leaders. As described by EDPA, “The EDPA Future Leaders Program honors the best and brightest young professionals who are already making a difference with their day-to-day contributions and thought leadership.”
Creative talent in the exhibition industry often comes from other areas of design training and experience. But few have the 3-D expertise that comes from creating a portfolio of international yacht designs. Matt Beck’s training in Industrial Design, Art History and Yacht Design provided a foundation that successfully propelled him into a career in custom exhibit design.
“For the past nine years, as expectations for face-to-face marketing programs have escalated, Matt has led Exhibitus’ design effort to an ever-increasing level of visual excitement and brand promotion for clients,” Brad Falberg, President of Exhibitus, said. “The results – a display case full of awards, beginning with an Event Design Award in 2014 for Kawneer.”
Moving from Design Director to Creative Director in 2019, Matt’s positive attitude, creative ideas and thought leadership in both design and business strategy are making a difference now, and are expected to be foundational to Exhibitus’ success in the future. As a thought leader, Matt has spoken numerous times, including four ExhibitorLIVE sessions, on the principles of Design Thinking as they related to the connection between Smart Design and the value of an exhibitor’s investment in trade show participation.
Falberg added, “In response to the current pandemic, Matt has shown critical leadership as Exhibitus adapted to market realities. Each member of his design team has had to learn new skills to bring forth Exhibitus’ new virtual offerings. He has guided their efforts in a manner that brought out the best in each one. Thanks to this effort, Exhibitus has created a portfolio of virtual offerings that serve customers in today’s environment and will be an effective extension to live face-to-face marketing events in the future.”
