A Jump for Joy! Snowflake Takes Home the Gold

Exhibitus is excited to announce that Snowflake’s AWS 2023 engagement experience has won top honors in the Experience Design Award’s Best Use of Touch or Gesture Technology category.

Snowflake’s winter chalet-themed exhibit at AWS invited attendees to play in the “snow” and compete against others through a ski-jump simulator. The game was designed to make participants experience the jolt and joy of jumping off of a ramp, then landing on the ski run.

Participants controlled the jump’s length via virtual ski poles powered by gesture-control technology integrated into the game by Exhibitus.

Results were displayed on a monitor and tracked on a leaderboard, and each day the top competitor received a Snowflake-branded stuffed bear as a prize.

Adding to the experience, Snowflake recruited a former Olympic ski jumper for an appearance, offering attendees the opportunity to engage with a pro athlete and gain firsthand insight into the sport.
